Privacy Policy

Overview

PassSprint is designed to work without an account. You can answer every question, read every explanation, and use the site without telling us who you are. This policy explains exactly what little data does get collected and why.

What we collect

Payment information: Checkout is processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Your card details are entered on Dodo's hosted checkout page and never reach our servers. After a successful purchase, we store the email address you entered at checkout, the Dodo payment ID, the amount, and a hashed unlock token — nothing more.

Email: If you buy the Exam Engine, we use your email address for exactly one thing: sending your unlock link (and resending it if you reopen the email later). We do not send marketing emails, and there is no mailing list to unsubscribe from.

Quiz activity: Your answers, wrong-answer book, and weakness statistics are stored in your own browser's local storage — on your device, not on our servers. An anonymous batch of question IDs and right/wrong results is sent to us (tied to a random session ID, never to your email or identity) so we can monitor question quality and accuracy.

Cookies and local storage

We set a single functional cookie (ps_session) if you unlock the Exam Engine. It holds a random token that keeps you logged in on this device; it tracks nothing and is shared with nobody.

Local storage keys (ps_session_id, ps_answer_log, ps_wrong_book) hold your anonymous quiz progress. Clearing your browser data removes them permanently.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics — cookie-free, cross-site-tracking-free, and GDPR/CCPA compliant out of the box. It records aggregated page views and events (for example, that a question was answered) without fingerprints, IP storage, or personal identifiers.

Third-party services

Dodo Payments — payment processing and sales tax handling as Merchant of Record. Dodo's Data Processing Agreement governs how they handle your payment data.

Resend — delivers the unlock email after purchase.

Vercel — hosts the website and serves pages from its CDN.

Plausible — the privacy-friendly analytics described above.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service, under their own privacy policies.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share personal data, don't run advertising or tracking pixels, don't ask for your name or phone number, and don't set marketing cookies of any kind.

Children's privacy

PassSprint is intended for adults preparing for professional licensing exams and is not directed at children under 13.
